Conventional coatings on commercial concrete are prone to peeling once exposed to ongoing moisture, traffic and regular cleaning. BlastOff abrasive blasted the concrete to open the surface profile, giving the coating a sound base to bond to, before applying IBIX Polyfusion as a certified applicator using IBIX equipment. The coating was heat fused directly into the prepared concrete rather than applied as a surface film, building a continuous, textured finish across the treated area as a single process rather than separate preparation and coating jobs.
The commercial concrete at Ōtāhuhu now has a continuous, waterproof surface with texture built in for grip. Fusing the coating directly into the prepared concrete has given the area a finish suited to ongoing commercial wear rather than a film that sits on top and is prone to peeling.

The concrete at Ōtāhuhu now carries a waterproof surface with texture built into the coating itself, suited to the ongoing demands of a working commercial environment rather than a decorative finish that needs regular touch-ups.
