The Challenge

Applying epoxy directly over damp or cracked concrete risks blistering, peeling and delamination once the coating is under normal use. Our Approach

BlastOff prep ground all existing coatings from the concrete to expose clean, sound substrate for the new system to bond to. Every crack identified was repaired using cement epoxy repairs before the waterproofing stage began. Two coats of waterproofing membrane were then applied to seal the slab against moisture from below, and the system was finished with two coats of high-gloss epoxy laid down as the wearing surface once the membrane had been established.

The Outcome

The finished floor is sealed from beneath by the waterproofing membrane and protected from above by the high-gloss epoxy topcoat.
