The Challenge
Construction stains, mortar splash, paint overspray and general trade spills had marked the concrete during the build, reducing the overall presentation of an otherwise completed home. These kinds of contamination sit on and within the surface of the concrete, and needed to be addressed before handover so the finished build would present consistently across all its surfaces.
Our Approach
BlastOff sandblasted the affected concrete to remove the stains and spills directly from the surface itself, rather than relying on washing or chemical cleaning, which could not fully lift the contamination. The abrasive treatment restored a uniform colour and texture across the treated concrete, addressing the marks left by construction activity while working consistently across the affected areas ahead of handover.
The Outcome
The builder was able to hand over concrete with a clean, consistent finish that matched the quality of the rest of the completed home. The construction staining and surface contamination that had been affecting the concrete’s presentation was removed, leaving a uniform surface appropriate for a finished build.
