Commercial

Concrete Remediation

Overview of the service

Concrete remediation repairs damaged or deteriorated concrete to restore performance, safety, and durability.

BlastOff Solutions provides commercial concrete remediation services across industrial and commercial environments. Our work helps extend the life of concrete structures and prevent further deterioration.

Remediation is delivered in line with site conditions and project requirements.

How we prepare

concrete remediation

Our process focuses on identifying the issue and applying the appropriate repair method.

Concrete is assessed to identify damage or deterioration.

Project details help confirm the most effective remediation approach.

01
Concrete surfaces are inspected for cracking, spalling, delamination, and surface deterioration to establish the full extent of damage before any work begins
02
Carbonation depth and rebar cover are assessed — exposed or corroding reinforcement is identified and mapped prior to repair scope confirmation
03
Crack width, depth, and pattern are evaluated to determine whether cracks are structural or cosmetic, and whether epoxy injection, routing and sealing, or stitching is required
04
Spalled and delaminated concrete is sounded with a hammer to identify hollow sections not visible to the eye — all loose and unsound material is marked for removal
05
Surface porosity and moisture content are tested to confirm the substrate is suitable for the specified repair mortar or waterproofing system prior to application

Where this

service is used

Concrete remediation is commonly required for:
01
Car parks and multi-storey parking structures
Slab soffits, columns, ramps, and expansion joints subject to vehicle loading, water ingress, and deicing salt damage
02
Basement floors and walls
Moisture-driven deterioration, crack propagation, and hydrostatic pressure damage requiring repair and waterproofing reinstatement
03
Lift pits
Chronic water ingress, spalling, and rebar corrosion in below-ground confined concrete structures
04
Suspended slabs and balconies
Delamination, spalling, and rebar exposure on elevated concrete exposed to weathering and thermal movement
05
Tilt-panel and precast concrete buildings
Panel face repairs, joint sealant reinstatement, and facade inter-panel joint resealing on commercial and industrial buildings
